The foundation stone of BRABU Distance Education was laid in late 1957, but this university met its completion in the year 1960. It is one of the oldest universities in India, located somewhere in the city of Muzzafarpur in the state of Bihar. According to the UGC-DEB, July 2019 to January 2020 was the last recognition period of BRABU distance education.

This university is under the governance of the native state Govt, and Govt officials handle all university affairs. The govt set up this university in the region to lift the level of learning to another level.

BRABU Distance Education is counted among the best universities in India situated in the Bihar region. Later in 1997, govt decided to set up another body named BRABU DDE that was held responsible for providing distance learning to the candidates through the university’s main campus. All admission to distance-oriented courses in the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University will be given after the verification of applicants’ documents. This distance education university prepares merit lists through qualifying scores.

MA: Students must have passed BA from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks to apply for admission to this program.
