The AICTE approves Osmania University’s new undergraduate courses: The AICTE approves Osmania University’s new undergraduate courses All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved Osmania University College of Engineering (OUCE)’s newly introduced undergraduate programs – Mining Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning – along with a postgraduate program in Mining for the academic year 2022-23. In the self-finance category, two UG courses were launched last academic year with 60 seats each.
Dr. Sriram Venkatesh, OUCE principal, said, “This recognition is very important for us since these recognized courses are in high demand.” “With the approval and recognition of the new Mining ME program, AICTE will award Rs 13,000 as a scholarship to GATE-qualified students,” Said by principle Venkatesh. TS EAMCET-qualified students who completed BiPC in Intermediate will be eligible for 10 of the 30 seats in the Bio-Medical Engineering program in 2022-23.
Students in this category will be admitted under the self-finance category and will need to take a bridge course in mathematics. The program has so far only been open to candidates who studied MPC in Intermediate. An autonomous institution, OUCE, is set to introduce new undergraduate and postgraduate curriculums this year. For the purpose of aligning with industry requirements and increasing the employability quotient of students, the college has revamped 40 percent of the syllabus.
Besides alumni from the college, experts from industry and R&D organizations will contribute to at least 40% of the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. “Students enrolling in the academic year 2022-23 will have access to the revised syllabus; existing students will have access to the same syllabus. According to principal Venkatesh, inputs from industry and alumni have been incorporated into the revised syllabus for all UG and PG courses.
